Santa Monica Doesn’t require a permit to have a wedding arch and decor on the beach.
Malibu* and other private venues require a permit or location rental to make a set up possible:
Point Dume*: Permit Fee: $450 for permit and application fee + 15% of Permit and Application Fee AND total package price. Permits are not available on weekdays in the summer. Please call for date restrictions.
Leo Carrillo*: Permit Fee: $475 for permit and application fee + $395 for state beach monitor fee + 16% of Permit and Application and Monitor Fee AND total package price. Permits are not available on weekends in the summer. Please call for date restrictions.
Sycamore*:Permit Fee:$875 for permit and application fee + $395 for state beach monitor fee + 16% of Permit and Application and Monitor Fee AND total package price. Permits are not available on weekends in the summer. Please call for date restrictions.

In most cases, applications are only accepted by the Beaches and Harbors department 90 days before your event date. Approval or denial has nothing to do with our company and it may not be received until 1 month before your wedding.
We kindly ask for patience regarding permit status updates and refrain from daily inquiries. Rest assured, we are fully aware of your special day’s importance and we will promptly inform you of any changes.
If permits are not granted, associated fees will be removed, and your ceremony will be relocated to Santa Monica Beach, Bluff.
